Re: Hunter Cherubini cutter 37'
it's just a 30 year old hunter .. whats with the cherubini qualification? the real cherubini boats are much different than hunters.

The 37 Cutter was designed by John Cherubini. Great boat. Just read the posts by many owners of these boats.

I'd like more pics and in a better quality. What is her hull condition?

Re: Hunter Cherubini cutter 37'
These older Cherubini Hunters seem to be well liked by their owners and are pretty nice looking boats. Other than Cherubini's design, what makes these boats better than the current POS Hunters??

Re: Hunter Cherubini cutter 37'
i really like these older Hunters, I owned a 1978 Hunter 30. Same design. I was a great boat. I actually tried to by a 37 cutter that was In Oriental, NC. Looked like a great boat. If you do your research our will find several common problems. Soft deck around the dorads, leaky windows. etc. My purchase did not work out. I do personally know several owners that are extremely happy with their boats. I would suggest as most would, a good survey, but these boat have a good rep. DO NOT listen to the Hunters haters who have never owned one or sailed one. There are many on this forum. They don't have a clue what they are talking about. Good survey and good price, and you will be happy.

Re: Hunter Cherubini cutter 37'
Cherubini difference, heavy built, keel stepped mast, true cutter rig and looks and sails well not a floating condo. I have owned 2 of them and love them. Look up the reviews, people who have sailed them are impressed. The only reason I am selling mine is ths wife wants a bigger boat. Unfortunately John didn't design a bigger one for Hunter. Nether my wife or I like the look or ride of the newer Hunters, move around to much compared to the cherubini boats.

+ 1. I owned a 37 Cutter, full draft. Sailing characteristics are the real difference. The boat really comes into its own in moderate to heavy weather. Modified fin keel, relatively full fore and aft, helps her track like a train -- I could balance mine and walk away from the helm for an extended time. Heaves to quite well.
Staysail has a boom so self tending -- quite handy when running under just main and staysail.
Interesting: I sold mine for the same reason!
