I have been away from my computer for a couple of months, so I find all this interesting. One of the last post's I saw from NOMN was that he was looking for a
boat. A
boat that maybe only a handfull were ever made. Did you find the impossible boat?
Now it sounds like you have a boat, have you sailed it yet? I hope you do not expect to put a bunch of electronic's on this 26ft boat and expect it all to
work for more than 20 minutes at a time before the batterys are dead.
When sailing, life is about compromises, usally it comes down to
money.
Money dictates the size of your boat, and the size of your boat (if it is a small one) will usally dictate the amount of
equipment you can reallisticly run on it. To me it sounds like you are trying to put 20K worth of eqipment on a 10K boat. If it were me I would rather have a 25K boat and 5K worth of
equipment. Just my 2 cents.
If you are still in the dreaming stages of your adventure, go coastal cruising for 6 months to a year, before you plan the around the world trip. In that time you will get more knowlage than a life time of
internet bloging.
