Complete Edson Classic Pedestal Steering system for sale or trade.

-Pedestal w/steering gear, tapered shaft and brake
-Straight stainless pedestal guard
-Side mount engine controls and linkages
-24" stainless wheel
-5" compass
-Idler
-(2) upright sheaves
-Chain/cable
-Bronze quadrant with cable tension adjusters
-Blue canvass zippered cover (if desired)

Overall in very good condition with the exception of the idler and the cables. The idler while still usable has a fair amount of rust on the plate and it could stand to be replaced. Also, the cables are frayed from coming off of the sheaves due to poor alignment between sheaves and idler. The chain however is fine and new cables could be pressed on instead of purchasing a new chain/cable. Cosmetically, the wheel and pedestal look great. The pedestal guard is also in very good shape, however it does have holes drilled in it from instrument mounting. Everything came off a Rawson 30; here is the link to Edson's diagram

Quixotic, I have a brand new Raymarine ST4000+ tiller pilot available. It's a complete unit with control head, fluxgate compass sensor, tiller drive and all the cables, connectors and user manual. It's rated for boats up to 14,300 lb. displacement. Located in NY $1300. Not interested in a trade though.
