Aluminum 20 lb Propane Tank

We have 2 aluminum propane tanks made by Worthington for sale. They are both in good condition and have the required OPD valves.

$100 each. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.

Would prefer to not ship....

Will post photos if anyone would like to see them.

It is also 4.7 gals, sometimes even 4.8 if the fill attendant is generous!

Re: Aluminum 20 lb Propane Tank

Hi Ovi,

Are the tanks for vertical or horizontal use? What is the date of manufacture? Most recent pressure test and certification? A photo would be nice.

I could use one but could be a problem shipping to Gainesville. Any ideas? You could always drive up to drop it off. It's only 5 hours.

Re: Aluminum 20 lb Propane Tank

The tanks are for vertical use, manufactured in 1997.

Had a visual a few years ago and the Worthington tech said these tanks last forever. No pressure test though.

Re: Aluminum 20 lb Propane Tank

I would have bought both if I had received the size measurements requested. See question of size not volume.

I will take the other tank but need to figure out how to get it to Gainesville.

You didn't really respond when I asked if you could deliver it from south Florida.

Re: Aluminum 20 lb Propane Tank

Hi Skipmac, we could meet somewhere in between maybe?

The size is a standard 20 gal alum propane size. Shipping them is an issue, I think they are considered hazmat, hence the cost would probably be $20000 per tank....
