May you perhaps elaborate on why so that we may learn from it and try to screw less next time?

Thanks

Can tot be bothered to "elaborate". For me, personally, the best one was 4.2 or 4.4, I have to check on my laptop which version I have. never had slightest problem. this one, I do not know, simply I do not like "looks" of it.

I do not use OpenCPN for navigation any way, so I am not very much suitable to judge it so do not take my words seriously

Re: OpenCPN Version 5 Released

I'm new to openCPN and need to get my Fugawi Explorer charts loaded into it. However, the plugin for Mac for 5.0 is not available yet. Same for any of the other plugins I've tried as well. When will it be available or can I downgrade to 4.8 so I can load the charts? I can't find a Mac download for 4.8. I'm on Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra. Thanks much.

Which other plugin is "any other"? I see most already built.

simply it's looking for "findit_pi.dll" in the plugin directory but fails to find it whereas the .dll is right there (271Kb) and all the spellings are correct.

I checked the directories tree in my WIN7 (where the findit plugin is properly loaded) and in WIN10 (where it fails to load) and those are perfectly identical.

I am puzzled
Sounds like a permissions problem to me. You said , i think, in another thread that you installed directly under E:/ instead of in programs... Why. Try a conventional install and see what happens.

Why did you bother to complain about the looks of software that you don't use.

I think this a great edition. If you must upgrade to x. 0 editition you can expect small bugs, if you don't want that wait till x.1 .

I've been running this edition hard since the betas and apart from small issues with the interface it has been pretty solid.

That was my last resort but I guess I shall try since I can't find no solution to the bloody findit issue. I'm just reluctant 'cause partition C ain't that large and I'd rather not splurge

He's probably talking about:

Polar plugin
Weather routing
Climatology
Weather fax
watch dog

and a couple of others, that don't have setup packages for MacOS yet.

I'm sure they will soon-ish though if he can patient.
