Maps pirated or not, the message facility OpenCPN or not, do not forget that designers OpenCPN could one day be challenged by a sailor, somewhere in the world. It is therefore highly empowering each user to marine OpenCPN.
That is why I propose to make this correction tool, a plug-in that anyone can implement or not.

Then, it is not because there are other bugs in OpenCPN or because the file rasterization is not perfect or because ..... that we must deny ourselves to have a correction tool of good quality.

Here the same in French because I am not shure of my English :

Cartes piratées ou pas, message à l'installation d'OpenCPN ou pas, il ne faut pas oublier que les concepteurs d'openCPN pourraient, un jour, être mis en cause, par un navigateur, quelque part dans le monde. Il faut donc responsabiliser fortement chaque marin utilisateur d'OpenCPN.
Voila pourquoi, je propose de faire de cet outil de correction, un plug-in que chacun peut mettre en oeuvre ou pas.

Ensuite, ce n'est pas parce qu'il y a d'autres bugs dans OpenCPN ou parce que le fichier de rastérization n'est pas parfait ou parce que ..... que nous devons nous priver d'avoir un outil de correction de bonne qualité.

Exactement, le faux de profondeur exister depius long temp (ne jamais raccoder) et les defauts du position sont venu plus mal maintenant avec le mise a jour.

CardCode: it's not a 'mise a jour' (update), it is a BETA ! A Beta is here to test and to find newly introduced bugs. As stated by dave before the correction using the offsets in the CM93 database will no longer be applied in the next beta or the final 2.4 release... (while still retaining the possibility for user-corrections).
Concerning the rendering problems with depth soundings: do you also have the problems if you disable chart quilting ?

Excuse my bad french.
The rendering effect is without quilting in Windows, Ubuntu and Mac version. Also other users have reported this several months ago.

I agree with HappySeagull. It is a very neat tool and now that it is agreed not to apply automatic corrections, it would be interesting to see the corrections in the format of the adjustment tool, including the User input section. Just keep the everything the same except don't apply the offsets.

Strange.. it's just a 'normal' ftp server, maybe you should try using another browser or an ftp-client.

If you are behind a firewall/NAT it may be beneficial to use 'passive' FTP mode to connect.

This time with Dashoard. Interesting however: The Dashboard window was transparent in this test!
Route-Manager window goes behind main window and OpenCPN freezes.
Mouse pointer activates the shown coordinates in bottom status bar even when mouse pointer is outside the main OpenCPN window.
And so on...
It seems the whole screen, window and child window system is still buggy.

Yes I forgot to mention, I integrated the transparency patch, quite
preliminary, because it's not configurable yet, it's non transparent
if you dock it.

Well I know the routemanager sometimes still goes behind the main
window, but it shouldn't freeze anymore when you use the modal
property-dialog, there was just a EndModal() missing and Hide() seems
not to be enough on OSX-Cocoa.

Yes, it looks like that if you click on the chart canvas once the focus is kept there even if the mouse leaves the window. Maybe I can integrate a check
to see if the mouse is still inside the pane in the event-handler.
If you click on another pane, like the dashboard, you'll notice it works
as expected, ideas on how to fix this are welcome

I know, but it's getting better step by step... A lot of bugs are hard to
track down because it's unclear if there is a flaw in the cocoa-implementation of wxWidgets oder if the wx-api is not correctly used in OpenCPN and it just works there by 'accident'...

No, this does not help, still the same crash.

But be not disappointed. I have found no Mac software without bugs: PolarView has problems showing ENCs, MacENC shows doubled menus etc.

I have been despared myself where to look for: Is it wxWidgets or is it OCPN source?

As per FS#340 - "AtoN type not displayed" attached is a fix to reports, prepared for Beta 0324.

This is not perfect solution - IMO recommends showing Real/Virtual status inside the icon, but I do not think we have space for that. Must do.
