correct, these charts seems to have a bad standard. But look for yourself in this example: In MacENC it displays somehow without waiting several minutes for generating another file of 3 MB in SENC folder as OpenCPN does. It is the same chart 1R5MK029.000 tested here!

So I guess there is something wrong in the OpenCPN algorithm. I can't find out that because lack of my knowledges about vector charts.

BTW, in PolarView this chart displays nothing at all, only in MacENC it does!

the question is whether we want to implement stuff that's breaking the standard. With some of the Dutch charts making some features work would mean breaking the display of other charts that actually are done according to the IENC & ENC standards. Probably not that good an idea.
Different products differ in what features they can display and we definitely don't suck that much in IENC area - I would bet we might be better than MacENC on Vltava in Prague for example

you certainly forgot to launch several Dashboards as it is possible now to show not any chart piece anymore....

Correct, OpenCPN is better with Vitava in Prague, it shows nothing and even do not load the chart while MacENC shows finally garbage at all. Tested with 0_7SOUTO.000. Screenshot of OpenCPN not attached here because it was empty...

You have certainly read the disclaimer of OpenCPN: Not intended for navigation!

The plugins are not yet available on opencpn.org. The last development version of GE plugin is attached to the release post in it's thread at http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...tml#post656726

Not in EVERY TM but in some.....Only mentioned in case it's important somewhere,sometime...

Your chart 347703 is strange. he header says 3477, which in my chart collection is a BSB file and not a kap. Your log is correct though, calling it 347703.kap.

Where are all the "." in your header coming from?
Is this a chart that you have converted yourself? It is definitely different from my copy.
The "PR" field is very important to OpenCPN. I have never seen "TM" before in this field on any chart.
OpenCPN does not recognize "TM", hence the chart is classified as a Mercator, which leads to all the problems.

Apart from that, I can see some bad quilting with these old tmercs.
I have checked the Kiwi and Swedish charts and they seems to quilt, almost perfectly. I'll take another look later.

Cagney,yes,it's my old CHS charts again!....the above is as my hex editor HxD has it from the original read-only kap charts I am using.... the dots are as it sees em.They have never been edited or remade.I wouldn't do that and then present 'em here as a "problem"-I'd just fix 'em!
I only mention here in case others have these too....

Anyways ok,to dump the dots in the header with ,say, IMGKAP:

It's some kind of way they dealt with the harbour plans then.I have other CHS charts that have calibrated insets! and they actually work,too-I was afraid I might have to screw around to get em up in OpenCPN but no...it's odd that there's Mercator,TM and UTM all from 1996,isn't it?But that's as the paper charts were made.
