Hello...

1. DLL copy in Windows setup program problem acknowledged. Fixed.

2. Windows cm93 quilt zoom problem acknowledged, fixed.

I will have a new Beta (and git) as soon as Wifi bandwidth permits.

Thanks

Can confirm the bug on linux wrt gribs. Also have an slot next to the gps widget, sometimes it's there and disappears and sometimes its not. Not sure what the space is dedicated too. Test platform is asus 1000HE running updated ubuntu 10.4 netbook version.

Crash in route/waypoint management:

  • create a two point route, not using existing marks.
  • right-click on one waypoint, open waypoint properties.
  • while waypoint properties dialog is open, right-click on the route, delete route.
  • Hit either cancel or ok in the waypoint dialog => crash

I cannot repeat this on 2.2 build 716 on Linux. Works for me.

I have been using the 710 build on ubuntu 104 during this weekends sailing

There still seems to be a bug with the COG predictor, when sailing on a NW course the predictor arrow sometimes flips 90 degrees east {perpendicular to the 'real' course} and the boat icon appears to be 'strafing'

The COG reading in the status bar turns negative during this bug

Sorry about the loss of punctuation marks, keyboard still fubar since last incident

Best Regards,

Jakobsson

Just to confirm, I was able to replicate the above 'problem' in ver 2.2 build 710 and also in ver 2.2 build 716. Not sure this procedure is typicall, but still, yes it does crash if following the above script of instructions.

other system info:
Using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Sony VAOI VGN-AR series notebook with dual cpu T2300 @ 1.66 Ghz
2.0 Gbyte internal ram
nvidia GeForce Go 7400

The two way arrow for DW routes (Deep Water), that was introduced earlier this year, has disappeared, and is replaced with the old single arrow, with a "?" either side.

This is probably a bit premature as Version 2.2 Build 719, isn't "official yet, but I couldn't resist testing the celestial plugin.
As it is now it crashes immediately.
From the command line:
Quote:
$ opencpn
celestial_navigation_pi Init()

(opencpn:2573): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_label_set_markup: assertion `GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed

(opencpn:2573): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_label_set_markup: assertion `GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed
Segmentation fault
With ddd, see below:

Zoom-in icon mouse click area

Using build 716. Zooming in icon. Does not work for the whole "mouse click area". Clicking on the magnifying glass handle does nothing. On the glass itself it's ok. Probably some coordinate setting?
Cheers, Len.

I checked this and the error is only with the + area (the - works over the whole button).
The + works only when the mouse is exactly on the +

Thomas,
Could be a Windows-only problem. I use Windows 7 Home Premium on a Intel Core I3. When build 719 (or later) gets distributed I'll try again.
Cheers, Len.

I tried this on 716 under Vista with CM93 data set
+ works only when mouse exactly on the + sign but not on the rest of the button.
- works on the whole button as expected

since becoming a git user and running 710 on ubuntu 10
this popup has started appearing upon loading after rebooting ie not for subsequent uses prior or after hibernate/s2disk );

libgps API version mismatch.
OpenCPN found version 145478580.-1078136504, but requires at least version 3.0

Would you like to use this version of libgps anyway?

no big deal click yes and everything else works as smoothly as in version 2.1

looking forward to seeing a keystroke for advancing grib periods (within the grib file). oh-yeah the grib icon balloon-popup text is unreadable.

cmake is already the newest version.
gpsd is already the newest version.
libgps19 is already the newest version.
libgps-dev is already the newest version.

cheers & thanks again, friends are flocking to opencpn instead of their usual dodgey stuff.
