Well, I was hoping that we would not need to do this, but here is another Release Candidate.

203. Extra space added for Furuno GPS upload
204. Please regression test all possible permutations of Datastream Network support (UDP, TCP, and GPSD). There was some new code added to properly support TCP server side connections. Could never have worked in 3.1.1411...

Are you sure you have the portaudio dependencies installed right? Don't know about Debian 6, but on Ubuntus you have to use portaudio19-dev, not libportaudio-dev which as far as I remember resulted in similar errors...
I can't see any commit since 1411 that could cause this problem...

I can't get tcp to work ....yet at least.
I have never seen this amount of transmit errors...


I get a crash, involving ais radar, not enabled by the way, when changing from tcp to udp on an active connection.

On WinXP SP3, No OpenGL
Succed running the following w/o failures:
1)
Connections:
-TCP, AIS from Frisco
-UDP, to portal OCPN via local net 192.168... and internal PC without net 127.0....(Changed on the fly w/o failures)
-GPS via COM port. Also output RMB/RMC seems fine although it's not tested to real autopilot yet.
-WP download to Garmin 12
2)
Plugins:
-New grib (2.0)
-GE2KAP, Created one chart from GE
-WMM, ver 0.6
-Dashboard although without wind, soundings etc.

Nothing unusual in the log file. At least for my eyes.

If anything else in particular that ought to be tested please comment.

In OpenCPN 3.1.1417 is see only version 1.4,
How can I have this version?

Thanks, Pavel, I'll check tomorrow, I don't have that machine handy now. What you say is possible, since I loaded from synaptic something that looked right just before compiling.

I do not know if you have plans to update this page on the website. But I think it would give a good signal to new users during the next stable release.
