OpenCPN on Android crashing after update

An interesting behavior following recent updates. Android 12 updated 22 August. OpenCPN 5.6.2 updated 23 August (if I remember correctly).

An Unnamed Route appears in the route manager at the top of the route list. Attempts to find properties or to center view to find the route cause OpenCPN to crash. Deleting the route and it's there again on next startup. I've deleted all Navobj.html files and restarted. The Unnamed Route is there again. Same behavior causing crashes.

Please do:
1. Take a copy of opencpn.conf file. Save it somewhere safe.

2. Delete opencpn.conf on the device.
3. Delete all novaobj.xml files.
4. Restart OpenCPN.


If this solves the problem, I would like to see the original opencpn.conf file.

THanks for the quick response! I followed your instructions but no joy. The problem persists.

Did you delete the navobj.xml.{1,2,3,4,5} files as well?

I think I know what is happening. This is a bug.
Does the app operate normally if you simply ignore the presence of the phantom route in the route list?

Yes deletEd all Navobj files. And yes the app works normally other than the fantom route.
