It's not the price wich is the problem, but as the person does is to claim it as his/hers product, statin that they have the copyrights. That is close to stealing.
Ripping a product apart, using bits and pieces and putting it togeteher as another product is something else - this is the way to do it...
The package this person offer is just reselling what other people have spent a lot of time to put together.
Claiming that he/her have the copyrights... I can't help getting a bit pissed off when I see such actions.

I am with you about the copyrights. That just wasn't the gist of some folks argument.

I also am not aware of where this has been "put together". Are the charts and everything you need to use OpenCPN installed together somewhere on the site? Since I am a Mac user it could be that the windows installer package does more then what I have experienced.

It's easy to fix this...give him/her some competition...do it cheaper and correctly...and give OpenCPN some or all of the profit.
