SART test

Today I had this SART test alert pop up, which raises a few questions.
* Is it right to mark an AIS test as an alert?
* Is i right to have a 18 minutes timeout on a test?
* What to do in the future with a lot of boats testing their SARTs, and cluttering the screen ?
* Shouldn't we have an option not to display any SART testing at all? Introducing this would take care of the first three points.

Thomas,

The range to the SART is shown as 131 nm, this should be well beyond line-of-site, is this correct?

That figure is misleading as I was connected to a network AIS feed.

Thanks,

Jean-Eudes...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1117 Released

Weather_routing_pi
FS#1250 - Does not read Grib files now, but does read climatology files.
This plugin has been fixed for illegal external file refs, however now with this new version of Opencpn the plugin does not read grib files.

Has something changed in grib_pi or Opencpn 3.3.1117 to cause this? I know the version number of grib_pi has changed, but can find no version checking in weather_routing_pi now (it used to have this).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1117 Released

Error debugging today's Git master.
I pulled one hour ago and build for Win32 using cmake, recieved errors, and by VC10 where a couple of "new" warnings and one error occurred:
The error:
Code:
C:\Program\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\Microsoft.CppCommon.targets(151,5): error MSB6006: "cmd.exe" exited with code 3.
The "new" warnings are a number of lines in one src like:
Code:
..\src\georef.cpp(858): warning C4101: 'sinth1' : unreferenced local variable
It may bee that this push wasn't ready and I am too eager??

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1117 Released

Hi, is anyone else having trouble build the present Git source for Win32 or is it only my system that's suddenly changed? Please see the previous post for details.
I also tried a completely new clone without success.
Thanks Håkan

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1117 Released

Hakan:
I have not git fetched Opencpn recently but am on Opencpn3.3.1117
and have been compiling weather__routing_pi along with Mike Rasbats.
We get similar warnings but with georef.c which is not used in main program I believe. I looked into it here http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post1416171
In the word docs there are some links to this error. You can searcb.

..\src\georef.cpp(858): warning C4101: 'sinth1' : unreferenced local variable

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1117 Released

Rick..
Thanks. The present version on Git is 3.3.1117 so that's the one I've cloned as well. The warnings may be just warnings because they are used within a function and therefore not else declared by the coder?
The described error may be of more importance and preventing debug. And I'm not the one to solve it. Hints anyone?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1117 Released

Hakan...

You may safely disregard build warnings.

The error, however, looks like a problem with your VS2010 setup. The build step cannot find a needed tool.

Is a there a full build log you could post?

Dave..
There is for sure a way to tell cmake to output a log but I can't find it so instead I copied from the command window. I also run debug in VC10 and the output is also in the attached text file.

Thanks Håkan

"The system cannot find the path specified" (In SE lang: "Det går inte att hitta sökvägen") But I not sure what's searched for?

Hakan...

Did you install Gettext package as specified in the Developer's manual?
Don't forget to set the gettext path to your environment.

Are all the .po files available in the source tree?
