And no, you can’t use 4.8.4 and 5.0 with the same configuration file, you must upgrade the 4.x version to 4.8.8

Hey everyone, been out of internet service for a few days, but good news. I upgraded OCPN to 4.8.8 and the crashing problem appears to be gone. Still don't know why it was doing it, but after upgrading and 2 passages the system appears to be solid, no surprises, no more crashes.

Thanks to all the offered assistance and I plan to upgrade to the current version when we get to Lautoka the end of October.

As a followup, I did let it run and check memory usage, but that didn't seem to be a problem it went up and down and seemed to be releasing whatever it didn't need. Don't think that was the problem.

Had another, shorter passage today and it was fine.
