No XTE Alarm in OpenCPN

I have used many Marine Charting applications over the years and like the simple, user friendly interface of OpenCPN. Others who I know who use OpenCPN and I find one missing feature which would really be handy, and is included with other marine charting applications including open source such as SeaClear, is the XTE alarm function. When the vessel drifts a specified distance fron the route line, bells or other alarm sounds to alert the boater. Please, please include this feature.
