Re: Next Tide Event Time

How do you get this to work using tides and also current, when you have?
In my other program it was easy to do, but I don't know how in OpnCpn.

Re: Next Tide Event Time

I am a relatively new user of OpenCPN. Until this year my primary plotting tool was Euronav's SeaPro. This is a commercial package and when I purchased it in 2011 it was one of the affordable (but not cheap) ways to obtain legitimate charts & tidal data for UK waters.

Now that UK charts are available for OpenCPN at modest cost, I have been running it along side SeaPro.

I prefer the OpenCPN's user interface and would ditch SeaPro except for tidal stream route planning feature. I'll attempt to attach/link an annotated screen capture showing how it works.

Of course, we don't yet have freely available data in the UK to use with it, but I live in hope that a modest cost licence could be negotiated with the UKHO (as was the case for charts).

It may give you some ideas, anyway I hope it's of interest!

John.

The next event column will then be populated.

Tried this several times with 4.8.4 and I think it is working, perhaps not completely. I had forgotten about this feature. Do I understand that this is not documented?
