Latest OpenCPN/OpenPlotter Crash on Zoom Change

Regularly my fresh installation of the latest 674-bit OpenPlotter/OpenCPN crashes OpenCPN when changing zoom levels.

There's nothing in the logs that I can see.

What can I do it identify the problem or fix it?

Even when not crashing the performance on zoom is atrocious. What can I do to help it?

Refresh rebuild your entire chart database. Also use chart groups to reduce the chart processing burden.

If that doesnt work try updating your charts and rebuild the db.

Try turning off/on opengl.
Make sure your display drivers are current.

There are very few details about the setup or software versions, normally required for support.

Re: Latest OpenCPN/OpenPlotter Crash on Zoom Change

Best read the current rev2 and rev3 docs for openplotter. For RPI4 on rev3 headless, it will not boot. REV2 doc has been revised to say the same. Rev3 coding is incomplete and pypilot, I2C, opencpn??? etc is removed in docs and coding is on backorder. So... if you are not using rpi or specifically headless install, my guess is that you may still find some issues. I gave up and installed BBN on my rpi4 instaed of openplotter - works like a charm
