Help, Zygrib Maps not working on my Mac

Hello, I use open CPN on my macbook air, OS Monterey. A few years ago I had been using the Zygrib application to pull and view grib files and overlay them in open CPN. I had zero issues with any of this on this computer.

A few mac updates later and some time away from the sea and I tried to reinstall Zygrib and could not for the life of me get the maps to load in the background. I just end up with a blue grid. I can still download grib files, apparently without issue. But no map to reference.

I am now back on the train trying to figure this problem out as this was a super useful tool for my voyage planning for work and now with our personal cruising boat i'd like to tap into it again.

I have been reading other threads about this and so far nothing I do seems to work. Have installed and uninstalled several times, manipulated where the maps folder is in the directory, etc.. Not very software literate, it's starting to drive me nuts.

To start with, switch to xyGrib (https://opengribs.org/en/), which replaced zyGrib a couple of years ago. If your problem persists, report back.
