Help with Simrad Radar "too strong" image

Hi,

I'm "reinstallng" settings after replacing faulty RC42 compass. The compass seems to be working fine (14% Local field 14%, Offset -14 d).

However, the Overlay Image appears WAY "over", yet the percent overlay is now 6%, but I think default was only 10%. All the Simrad controls appear to be there, and all but the one should be Default. I'm a beginner at using the Radar Overlay on the charts.

Am attaching a radar view, and some setting windows.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Armand

go the other way: transparency = 100% and you won't see any radar returns

LeaseonLife,

Awesome. That did it!

Now to work on some fine tuning.

Thanks,
