Yugo, Dave will be able to give you a more detailed response, but at first glace, I notice that you're using the chart folders of:

C:\Users\Yugo\Documents\Charts &
C:\Users\Yugo\Documents\Charts\GSHHG

You should know that when you give OpenCPN a chart location, it will (attempt to) gobble up EVERYTHING under that folder. So your first chart folder already includes your 2nd folder (& everything else under ...\Charts\).

Not only is this redundant, it's also dangerous, as you're asking OpenCPN to digest ALL of your charts. Much better to give it ONLY the charts you're really interested in. Otherwise, you could bring OpenCPN to its knees & really impact performance if your chart catalog is too big. (Mine's almost 1TB)

Hi, have OpenCPN running on my OnePlus Nord can see phone storage folders. But my Samsung One UI tablet and spare phone can't see phone storage (just OpenCPN android folders). Tried to add file access in permissions but no option? Want to import waypoint gpx file. Suggestions please.

Get "File Manager +" android app... Gives access to all files/folders.

Pelagia, I'm finding lots of "File Manager" apps, but not "File Manager +". Can you tell us who makes it? Or maybe provide a link?

Interesting... I too cannot find it now on Google Play, even though it IS on all my androids and still works fine.

Hello. I have a brand new machine consisting of an AMD 7950X, an AMD 7900XTX, and 64GB of DDR5 6000 CL30 RAM. It has a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04 on it. Open CPN crashes immediately upon start after I downloaded charts from NOAA. I have a copy of the log file, if I can upload it I will otherwise let me know how I can share that and I definitely will.

I have version 5.8.2 on a Windows 11 laptop.
I've installed the Canadian o-charts.
When I go to charts I only get 1 chart and, when I zoom out or pan off that chart I get an error message stating:

OpenCPN has stopped working

This flashed on screen for such a short time I had to video it and freeze the frame to read it.

What am I doing wrong?
