Re: GPS based Odometer

Appears to be working good for me. Aging windows 10 laptop. It shows the correct build number for me. Still some minor ghosting of the Trip Reset button when resizing but that doesn't bother me at all.

Re: GPS based Odometer

Rick, good to hear it works ok for you.
The remaining size error on the buttons occur if you change only horizontal size as that is not correctly detected as a 'size change'. It will be corrected as soon as the vertical size is changed as well.
Also: The detection and update rate on OpenCPN screen functions is just about twice a second so it may, worst case, take up to 1.5 second for a full screen update (horizontal size change -> vertical size change -> screen update) even though it is normally much faster than that.

Re: GPS based Odometer

Corsair, thanks for noting.
I've already seen that and it is fixed but not yet released. You may also find that the the web reader opens two alike pages, also fixed. Actually fixing a number of 'cosmetic' details, almost all on Windows.

Will likely hold back next version awhile unless something drastic is found.

Re: GPS based Odometer

GPS Odometer v0.8.4.2 is released.
Mainly GUI handling changes plus language translation updates. Also fixed the bugs listed previously in this thread.
If you get sizing problems when upgrading, just bring up the plugins dialogue, select the GPS Odometer, select settings and enable or disable one of the instruments, click OK and eventually restart OpenCPN. You may then continue as normal.
I've seen this on Windows after upgrading and it is due to the GUI handling changes done.
