Dancing Icon

I have a 100% dedicated LENOV IdeaPad 100s (Memory 2Gb 1600MHz)

The only downloads are OpenCPN 4.4 plus New Zealand charts.

Most of the time when booting up the cursor dancers around the screen and cannot be directed in this situation the only way to turn off is to force it.
When rebooting the same thing can happen 3 or 4 times then the next time you can hit it right and away you go.

I am unsure of Mg/Gb requirements are for OpenPN and my charts does anyone know if I am asking too much of my memory/operating capacity and could this be causing my problem

Do you have a GPS connected to it and on? Ive seen mouse movement get taken over when booting when the GPS is on. Try disconnecting it or turning it off if so.

Re: Dancing Icon

If this is the "old" issue when Win believe the GPS is a serial mouse.
This has solved it permanently for me a couple of times:

Open Regedit. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\SerMouse, and change the value "Start" from 3 to 4. Reboot.
