The manual is included with every OpenCPN installation. Just click the ? icon in the toolbar and then "Help" and it will get opened in your default browser.

Yes, it is the local copy of the manual for offline use.

This functionality is not completely worked out yet for the new Opencpn Books. Dokuwiki.
There is a plugin called SiteExport available to editors which almost works. This will have to wait until the next release at which time you can be sure it will be fixed or there will be another hand built script as alternative. At present saving as the left hand index menu does not really accomplish what is needed.

I loaded free version on my android Galaxy tab a 10.1 and then uninstalled it. Then I downloaded the paid version. Now when I click the Help tab to see the manual, I get

Webpage not available
The webpage at file:///android_asset/doc/doc/help_en_US.html could not be loaded because:
net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND

Any Ideas?

Jazz, that's right. We have updated the website and wiki and perhaps that doc is not available now, but we should make it available even if it is not the most current.

One thing we have not done is build an html from the current wiki. We have experimented with a "siteexport" plugin to create the single page html Help document but there were some small problems with it. This was low priority until we have a new release.

I will contact the webmaster Kathi to see if she has the old html doc and can put it in that URL location.

Time to bump this priority. We are close to releasing O46.
I've not looked at this in detail yet. How does it look? Does the process work without excessive hand-editing after the fact?

I was reading about siteexport today. And now I am locked out of the wiki for some reason, I was in the middle of a big edit of Compiling Winodow namespace.

I saved my work on Notepad++ but the wiki does not seem to work.
I was going to try site export again.
