Crashing in Ubuntu

I have Ubuntu 22.04 and upgraded to 5.8.4 was working last season no problems. This week tried it again and it came up OK but kept crashing when I tried to zoom out. Uninstalled it and removed the folder and reinstalled. Came up working all ok till I installed the maps then started crashing every time i tried to open it. Tried the flatpack version same problem. Only thing I have done to change the system is updating to Ubuntu pro !. Please give me some pointers.. I have attached the logfile Thanks all

Re: Crashing in Ubuntu

Hi @Emmalina,

I am experiencing the same problem. I have moved the .opencpn folder to let the program create a new config folder, but as soon as I add the CM93 charts, it crashes. I have tried with flatpak package. Does not work neither. The default Ubuntu package seems to works well though (not the PPA), but then I guess I will face issues installing the plugins...

This is my terminal output when running a clean PPA version and installing the charts (-> segmentation fault):

Re: Crashing in Ubuntu

There seems to be a bug in the Mesa radeonsi driver that OpenCPN 5.8 and newer triggers. Tracked in https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/issues/2889
