"Chart has been cancelled" O-Chart Error message

After installing o-charts, there are many "grey" areas in the charts, depending on zoom level.
When I zoom in the grey areas are going away and the charts are visible.

I am using windows 10 (clean install on new computer), OpenCPN 5.8.4, O.chart plugin 2.0.1.9


In O-charts plugin I pushed the "Validate chart set" button and got some "chart has been canceled" errors like this:
20: Chart load warning ( C:\CHARTS\oeuSENC-BE_NL_UK\OC-44-A24204.oesu ) : Chart has been cancelled
21: Chart load warning ( C:\CHARTS\oeuSENC-BE_NL_UK\OC-44-

After new download and reinstall the charts I got the same error when doing a o-chart chart validation at some charts.
other o-charts are working fine.

I have done a database rebuilt, but without effect.

Two things going on here.
1. Charts are often "cancelled" by the issuing HO. o-charts_pi detects those cases. and shows an informational message. This is not an error.


2. The missing charts (i.e. grey areas ) are a known bug in o-charts_pi. As you report, it only happens with "some" charts, usually super small scale (e.g. 1:1.5MM) regional (Band 1) charts.
The issue is understood. We expect to have a solution in a few days. Please stand by.

Please update o-charts, and then rebuild chart database. The missing chart areas should be corrected.

I've seen minor spots of the discussed gray areas as well. They seems solved by v2.0.2.1. Lets' hear more from molly21.
Another effect may have been more obvious:
When zoomed out to small scales and one chart set contain very small scales not present in a nearby chart set the small scale cells "take over" and the bigger scales are hidden. Attached pictures show the effect of one zoom step out.
The small scale viewed solely at pict 2 is 1:1500 000. Nearby hidden cells starts from 1:90 000

Chart sets: oeuSENC-DK and -SE. RPi5 OCPN: alpha 5.9.
Vector chart weighting = 0. (+1 also tried wo difference)
