Change the Status Bar font ?

I've not been able to find how to change the font in the Status Bar along the bottom of the display that shows SOG, COG, Location, etc. The fonts used are too big and are getting clipped

I'm running v3.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 using the LXDE GUI. My WinXP laptop does not have this problem to the same degree but the Cursor longitude value gets clipped slightly.

Is this font defined by the window manager and not within OpenCPN?

Any ideas?

Addendum:

I noted that it shows correctly using Ubuntu 12.04 default GUI (Gnome?) - but is clipped using LDXE. It seems the status bar window panes are not being sized correctly (width) under LXDE.

It's defined within OpenCPN but currently not user selectable.
I have just submitted code to make it user selectable in the future, expect this feature in the first 3.1 beta release.
