GPS Stopped Working

My Garmin 12 was working. I instaled the driver for a new USB to serial cable and it quit. I uninstalled the driver and used the old cable and it started working with old cable on Oziexplorer but not opencpn. I can plug in my Garmin USB 18x GPS and it works fine on all.
The only entry I can find in the log is

After 2 days of fooling around I post on here and then it started working.
