can't get on opncpn.org on old mac

I have an older Mac laptop that I want to put opncpn.org on for a backup should my newer laptop go south.
I am running 10.6.
How do I get it loaded on the laptop If I cant open opn on the web?

Mac OSX 10.6 is called "Snow Leopard" and is not supported by OpenCPN. However you should be able to download an older version:

From here, looks like a security problem: the site uses a certificate that is not valid for opencpn.navnux.org. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.netdna-ssl.com, netdna-ssl.com

I suspect it's a misconfiguration, given where the current downloads are hosted, but it's a bad one.

As seen a few days before the OpenCPN people have severe security problems. You might try to download the version 3.2.2 from this link:

Could I be not putting it in wrong. Would you mind trying that link and see if it works on your Mac.?
My old one is running 10.6 but this Mac I am writing on is 10.14 Mojave and it still wont open it.

You can instal linux on your old MacBook.

opncpn.org works with Linux.

Even old machines run fast with Linux.

I have 3.2.2 downloaded on my ancient laptop running 10.6 (snow leopard).


Question: I cannot download vector charts like oeSENC/vectorcharts unless I am running at least 4.6. Can I download 4.6 and will it run on my Mac ?


If not what charts can I run on it?



My boat is in Croatia and I will be cruising the Med around Italy and France to enter the canals at the Rhone River.
