Navionics on Ipad

I have had navionics on my Ipad for about a year with Africa/Asia and South America/Carrib installed and worked perfectly but I came to open yesterday and the home screen is frozen. I have tried everything. And cant seem to find any support on thier website. I am leaving on a 3 month delivery trip next week.
Any ideas out there??

Navionics on Ipad

Take a look at my "inavx" thread below, landonshaw. I had basically the same problem.

Hopefully you have backed up your waypoints and routes. Also check your chart account, I have x-traverse and had over 300 days.

1. Delete the app

2. Re-download the app. You will see this in your settings on the iPad I believe under updates? Otherwise go to the Internet and ask how to reload apps on an iPad. That is what I did.

3. Restore your waypoints and routes from the x-traverse account.

4. Follow the directions on how to reload the charts from the inavx thread below. I received that directly from them.

My experience is that I have the charts, Caribbean and Sweden / Norway and all of my data without any additional purchase or hassle.

Good luck

Re: Navionics on Ipad

Have you tried a forced reboot. Power & Home button held down together till it restarts.

Tried closing Navionics by double clicking home button, then "flicking" Navionics ap up to close it, then starting it again.

Restoring the iPad from the last backup in iTunes (last resort).

Dave

Re: Navionics on Ipad

I agree with last resort and new app. A happened to be at the last resort. The hard shutdown didn't work for me but tried before I deleted.

It was easy to do although I had everything backed up except for maybe a few routes so didn't loose anything.

Re: Navionics on Ipad

Did re-installing the app work for you? I had an issue in the past with the weather data not loading and the re-install fixed that. It happened after an iOS update for me, so not really sure if that was the culprit. Have a great delivery trip!
