You can add waypoints and create a
route if you want.
It's difficult to enter waypoints from a lat and long, but normally you would be using the map anyway.
The functionality and customisation is still not as good as a
chartplotter, but it will do most things reasonably well.
The strengths are very
cheap maps (and
cheap hardware) and the fact that its self contained with its own GPS and long
battery life.
It is a lot to offer in a package that is also allows you to connect to
Internet, sent emails make skype calls read
books and magazines.
