Sad news. It looks like Bebi have closed.

Very sad ending to an excellent company. Glad I've got three of their Owl lights!

Too bad. They made a good product, priced it fairly, and from all accounts had great customer service. The market needs a product like this, so maybe they will start up again where ever they land.

I am becoming less enthusiastic about visiting Fiji with every new bit of nasty news.

This is a further disincentive.

Disappointing news about Bebi, but don't let that dissuade you from visiting Fiji. The people there are among the friendliest in the world--the friendliest I have seen, anyway. I was on Kadavu for a few months in the nineties, and went back to the Yasawas a few years later. Fiji is on my short list of favorite places, government policies notwithstanding.

I haven't ruled it out, but there's plenty of places with corrupt governments and friendly people that are easier to get to. I've just heard a lot of bad things, particularly about the graft and racism.
