I am working a case with
B&G now for the NAC-3
autopilot, but thought I would check here.
All of a sudden my NAC-3
autopilot stopped working... I can see the
rudder position on the
chartplotter. I checked the connections and
power with a multimeter and it all seems fine. I retried the "Dock Commissioning" and reset the port/starboard limits with no problem. When I do the
rudder test it goes straight to fail. It is a straight fail like a setting could be wrong. I re-tested with the multimeter and as I do the rudder test I am not seeing voltage on the "DRIVE" or "DRIVE ENGAGE" connections.
When I called
B&G they told me to check that the "degree/minute" setting and make sure it was 240. Double checked and it was fine. I need to call them back but last time I was on hold for 7 hours! Ugggg. Any suggestions/comments welcome...
