Re: Zeehag, a Friend Indeed

Yep, TJ has taken a pass on the vessel in Barra de Navidad after receiving KD's comprehensive report and about four dozen pictures. So, the search resumes. There is an abundance of vessel choices in the Southern California market and the prices there are, in my opinion, more realistic than they are in Mexico.

Anyway, as I told Z, maybe the voyage down to Mexico is actually the correct way to transition to Mexican cruising. In the hard-to-argue-with words of Captain Ron:

So, thank you, Karen, for your invaluable assistance in helping me avoid a potentially costly mistake. You're the best!

The rumour (you heard it here first ) is that Zee has snaffled a bargain boat in Mexico (dirt cheap and in A1 condition ), shortly to hit e-bay..........

If there is such a thing as karma, Zeehag, then you are definitely owed a lucky break (or two).

Re: Zeehag, a Friend Indeed

ty kids---i mighta got a kharmic action today with my findings re lift pump--mine has bad diaphragm. coulda made my oil and fuel mix together for runaway. so we will check valves and rings with compression test and go from there---change oil and re route fuel away from lift pump and thru my electric assist pump, which runs all the time, perhaps causing this mayhem to have happened....soooooooooo....
even with losing all oil via that funky hole with plug that popped off or out for whatever reason, and even with the oil going away faster than was spozed to have done, mebbe we lucky with lift pump probems , caused by loose nut behind wheel....rodlmao---is a relief knowing that could well have been the problem causing such mayhem...we WILl check compression and rule out any other problems so i dont have to anticipate death on a lee shore with rocks..lol..oh yes--in a rapid flowing narrows ...
