You might be right. How may people can say that they have met MarkJ????

He might be a figment of someone imagination.

Has anybody ever met him???? Could be a storybook tale that someone is writing and going to sell a book on and then make a movie. Could call it "Who is MarkJ, Will the real MarkJ please stand up."

I believe Markj is just one of David Old Jersey's alter ego.

Re: MarkJ Missing ?

Some of the people who claim to have met Mark in person have also been missing. So I wonder ................

When I last looked,---there he was,----gone.
It has been rumored that his last name is Galt. People have been asking about his brother John, as well

The plot thickens

So an Ozzie sails to jungles of South America and disappears. Sounds like the opening sequence to a hollywood movie. If so which actor would you want to play the opening role

Re: MarkJ Missing ?

Was it not HIM who once said that in VENEZUELA there are canning factories that will mix tomato juice with local rum prior to canning???

Any boat loaded up to her brim with inexpensive local canned goods must be sailed with utmost care. Let's hope Mark will contact us as soon as he clears customs!

Re: MarkJ Missing ?

On the less fun side, it is unlikely he will have very much free time to spare for the internet forum. If you examine the Medegral boatyard website they offer 7 days on the hard as part of the basic haulout package. That is barely enough to do a bottom job in that area of the world as acquiring supplies and labor takes time. Also there are invariably other "bottom" problems that surface once the boat is out of the water and examined. So he will up to his keister in work until the boat is ready to go back into the water.
