Decommissioning Fees - Man vs Woman

ok we have heard ad nauseum the man's eye view of what it costs to run a woman and we have started a similar discussion on how much man costs to run---
what about the decommissioning fees---
i found these to be most uncomfortable -- twice--- each time man has become a pita and dispo'd but not without much horrendous price---like everything i owned. (and folks wonder why i dont date nor hook up with.....LOL---i frankly cannot afford it...)
what say you folks who have btdt......is it cheaper to dispo a man or is it cheaper to dispo a woman.....

I would think it would be by weight, sex would not come into the equation. Cement boots will offset buoyancy, and you just need to make sure you have enough cement....

Re: decommissioning fees--man vs woman.

Not sure that can be answered... so many variables. Varies by state, financial circumstances, and who (if anyone) is at fault. Some states have "at fault" laws which can really stack the deck for Mr or Mrs DoGood. Clearly, I think it can be stated that getting "unhitched" is not easy, cheap or fun. A lot of folks think it is worth it, though, at any cost.

Zeehag. All men are not like that. For example. I would have left you for free. I might even have paid you to get you off my boat.

The older I get the more a rock solid pre-nup makes sense. The problem with our legal sytem though, is it only works if both parties act in good faith.

Re: decommissioning fees--man vs woman.

Yeah, but in NC, there IS "at-fault" filing, and one can name the "other" party and sue the home wrecker for damages! Makes for some good entertainment value for those who tend towards reality TV type stuff. Of course, out at sea, beyond the state and federal jurisdiction, I'm sure swifter disposals could be had....

Re: decommissioning fees--man vs woman.

I think it mostly depends on who has the deeper pockets. If it's you, you are probably going to pay ... and pay!

It also seem to me that men are more anxious to cut a deal and move on ... find another, not drag things out. Whereas, women have more of a need to extract their pound of flesh during the process, to drag it out which runs up the costs. But these are of course broad generalization and probably some stereotyping ... your experience my differ.

I'm guessing he's not on your Xmas card list anymore! Too bad, his loss.
