Saving Money

I don't know if this is the right forum for this topic but?
I am not sure how many of you guys use Craigslist for boat and equipment related purchases, I had never thought of it before but I have been trolling there lately and have found an amazing amount of stuff that I was going to buy anyway during the outfitting of our new boat. And there are some amazing deals. I bought a brand new Yamaha 15hp outbord motor for our dingy retail was about $3k and I paid $1,900. windlass, generators, dive equipment, fishing gear you name it I found it all for peanuts. You can really save a ton of money if you are willing to put in the time to search the different geographical locations one by one. Also a barter catagory where I can get rid of stuff I didn't want for things I need. I guess there are a lot of people out there who are in need of cash and this is a very good forum for them to sell it without paying to do it like Ebay.

Let's turn this into a thread for "places to get stuff way cheaper than normal." Here is one: Marine Part Depot

Anyone have a good one for rope?

There are several websites that let you search all craigslist ads at one time without having to search each region individually. Here are a couple:

allofcraigs.com - Search ALL of Craigslist

Search All Craig's - Ever wanted to search ALL craigslist sites at once?

Hope that helps.
