Saving Threads?

I have come across several threads that I would like to "save" to refer to later, but I can't seem to figure out how/where to do that. Is there a way to mark something as a favorite? And then later (like a month or two later) bring up your list of favorites for review?

Or anything similar in nature?

If you go to the User CP (up & to the left in a window) and click on it and then scroll down to "List Subscriptions" and click again, it shows all the threads you have replied to, in which some can be deleted if you like.

What I do is just save the thread as a favorite in my browser. The thread saves just as any other web address would.

Yeah, I see that, but often times there are threads that I know nothing about, so posting in them would be odd, but I want to learn from them by reading everyone else's posts. (Like electrical work.) Thats why I am looking for a way to save them without posting in them and subscribing. Can you subscribe to a thread another way then posting?

Look at the menu bar just above the first post. Thread Tools > Subscribe to this Thread.

Or try Tropic Cat's suggestion. Create a folder in your favorites and bookmark the threads you want to reference back to.

Good idea, and worse case, I will do it that way. Just wondering if there was a way within the board.

If you don't want to continue getting updates to the thread you could use the thread tool - "Show Printable Version" - I print stuff to .pdf file using PDF Creator all the time. Then the entire thread would be saved in a pdf format.

Otherwise if you still want to follow updates to a thread I think bookmarking it is the way to go.
