Harvey, Irma, and BoatUS

It's old news that Geico has taken over BoatUS insurance. I've continued my BoatUS insurance, despite a extreme dislike for Geico and their methods.

I'd like to know- as things unfold- how it is being insured by BoatUS/Geico.

According to BoatUS, they have their catastrophe team in Texas. BoatUS: How to Take Care of the Boat After Harvey : BoatUS Press Room Not sure how that works, why BoatUS would still have such a team, unless they now work for Geico...any insights into the arrangement?

If anyone would like to report on the BoatUS/Geico experiences, I'd like to hear about it.

Re: Harvey, Irma, and BoatUS

Earlier today, Second Base reported contacting BoatUS, with whom he is insured, and they sent out a boat to guide him into a Florida cut, on the way to gain hoped for safety from Irma. He is probably too busy now, to respond.

The Boat US tow boats are independent operators. They have little to do with the insurance end of things. I've called them a bunch, good captains.
