Harvey or Algiers Lock

Which way is best in a power boat?

Going on ICW east to west.

Thanks.

you will be going upstream to Harvey, the current is strong right at NO. If you can do 15 knts you'll be fine, if only 7 you will be there awhile.
We went around the outside, fast but boring, no barges to dodge. Lovely oil rigs.
