Water shedding for plastic windows?

Anyone have experience with Star brite View Guard Clear Plastic Treatment?
It claims to have rain shedding properties and cleaning and UV protections in one product. That would be nice if it works well.
Amazon has only 8 reviews, and I don't trust Amazon reviews because they are often shills (especially when so few).

RainX now makes a plastic formula but it gets mixed reviews, isn't a cleaner, and some people wrote that it doesn't work if you apply it over a cleaner that leaves a coating (that rules out most cleaners other than plain soap and water).

I've been using Plexus with good results as a cleaner, but it doesn't seem to help much with water shedding. Would also welcome other input to address this need.

Rain shedding for plastic windows?

I have used rain-X on plexiglass windows for a long time to seemingly no ill effects.
But I assume your talking about Isengard flexible windows maybe?

You need to go faster. Around a 100 it beads up with nothing.

Re: Rain shedding for plastic windows?

Hi, SailFastTri,

We use Rain-X on our dodger windows, before passages, and it does a fair job shedding salt water for a short while. So far, while not ideal, it is the better of the things we use. We use Meguiars to clean them first, and the Rain-X over that. Works okay, not perfect.

Re: Rain shedding for plastic windows?

We use Plexus. Has anyone fund anything that doesn't bead? I would doubt that there is anything, but would be pleased to learn if there is. Raindrops on clear dodger glazing is just fine with us, 'cuz we don't have windshield wipers up there!
