Alcohol stove

Dometic/Origo stopped building them in 2019.

Contoure Cookmate also seems to be missing in action.

If you don't want to use propane and you don't have sufficient power for induction what else is there ?

Re: Alcohol stove

Taylors still makes excellent kerosene stoves, and Dickinson still makes diesel stoves - both of these are much nicer than the non-pressurized Origo stoves.

Unless you have to have new, just buy a used Origo stove; at present they are not hard to find. Below is a current auction (NOS apparently), while I'm thinking that the auction price is close to (or less?) than what it sold for before it went out of production. Used can be had for much less if you keep an eye out.

Re: Alcohol stove

I got a used 1500 for 100$ two years ago. I did have to buy a boat and trailer to be offered the deal. Coffee in 4 minutes, I am not unhappy with heat output.
The accessory gimbals will cost me more than the stove...
