Re: Piracy :-/

I was flipping though TV channels the other day and came across Whale Wars. I didn't watch it but the episode description was "they attack and disable the whalers". From this description it is pretty hard not to call them pirates etc.

'Bout time some some coked up Hollywood writer blows the whistle on those damned whales. Whale songs my sore butt. They're scheming. Save the whales this and save the whales that! Boo hoo hoo. Whales are big bullies. Bashing boats around, disabling ships. Finally the truth!

Labels are shorthand for "I don't wanna think about this". If you call someone a pirate or a terrorist or some other trending 'ist', then you don't have to actually think further about the issue. It's a very effective tactic.

Re: Piracy :-/

Whales fill the oceans with their bodily wastes with no regard for rhe enviruonment. Us humans get big fines from other humans for our itty bitty floaters while whales dump big honking logs as big as a truck and get away Scot free with it. The whale lovers nearly kill rhemselves when they try do do something as simple as launch a friggin boat while they deliberately violate the rules of the road and every law written or unwritten on seamanship. I say it is time to wipe those stupid whales off the face of the earth. Hunt rhem down and make catfood out of their ugly blubbery carcasses. And throw all those poor excuses for seamen in prison for endangering the Jap whaling vessels. I am up to here with those whales and their neo hippie human allies.

Me too

They are having a real negative impact on the Southern Ocean Goat Sanctuary (breeding pairs are now a rare sight ) - although methinks the fundamental reason for low numbers of Goats in the Southern Ocean may be because of Global Warming , but unfortunately the WGC (World Goat Council) can't "prove" the link until they get funding to do some "climate science" .

Re: Piracy :-/

I would have thought by now, given their plight that many NGOs, (non-goat-organisation) would have piled in with support for these causes. given the few pairs seen , maybe they are a "lost" cause.

I suspect applications by the WGC , for financial support, to the UN-GC might be favourably received, many delegates to the UN-GC are regularly seen making a "goat" of themselves. Furthermore perhaps it could be "rammed" through

... Where are those tablets.....
