They're US stats... You know, where the Christian Taliban lives? nothing to do with Australia where it's ostensibly been legal for 40 odd years.

You might want to open yourself for new insights, technology or just the viewpoint from sailors in other parts of the world than your hangout. Different cultures, it is the spice of life!

Wow, we've even wedged drugs and abortion into this one. Any hot-buttons not been pushed?

Anyone know where you can buy a submarine?

That would be pretty pirate resistant, I'd think. Wack a mast on it and sail that around.

I know a south American drug cartel built one a few years back, but I'm not sure you can buy them very easily. Then again, given that my hatch cover is leaking a little right now, perhaps it's better that I have a skimmer.

And, yes, I did get a sailboat and a pension out of it, so I guess I won my war.
Yep.

And follow Portugal's lead.

Check out the crime stats after you legalise abortion... They nose dive.

Turns out unwanted kids turn into criminals ... Who'd have thought?
I was amazed too.

It took a while (like 12-14 yrs) but wow!

I think we're all safe now. This thread has drifted well out of pirate infested waters.

Well, here is one thing I have learned in life. People don't focus on things that are unimportant to them.

And, there is no more focused group than illegal drug users who want drugs to be legal. They never get tired of talking about it, or proposing it.

I do get tired of talking about it. Because, these people always want to know what a drug agent's perspective on drugs is, and then they get upset when it isn't what they want to hear.

And, I'm retired. Ask me about my solar panels. I love them!
