Re: DANGEROUS MARINE CREATURES

Agreed, George Greenough wrote about his close encounters with sharks from Byron to Ballina but none of us ever wanted to go the full Vic Hislop on em. Even the guys who survived shark attacks advocate for the sharks right to live.

Re: DANGEROUS MARINE CREATURES

A buddy of mine went out on a commercial dive boat down in the Keys. The operator warned them not to mess with the nurse sharks laying on the bottom. He heard Nerf Shark and thought they can’t be very dangerous.

Another time I was diving with another friend who should have know better. He found a very small nurse shark and grabbed it by the tail. Nurse sharks are very flexible and this one twisted around and tried to grab his hand. Eventually it got the cuff of his glove and then it was his turn to try to drop the shark. It was hilarious! I almost drowned laughing.

Re: DANGEROUS MARINE CREATURES

I had had no idea what a blue ringed octopus was until i went to the hospital, I was playing with one with bare hands at bondi beach, AUS. lifeguard was was going to call for help but i took a cab to hospital. I was fine with my size ve the amount of venom. rule one is ask what is dangerous in any area before diving, etc.
