Wow- thank you, John!

I'm casually interested in receiving weather fax via HF radio, and the simpler, more affordably I can do it, the better. This is just an experiment for this trip, and mostly for fun. I'm hoping that what I receive will be a reasonably intelligible forecast that I can view on a computer screen, but historically these things require some tweeking given my limited experience and knowledge of both weather fax and the technology to render an image on a laptop. I think that outlines my expectations fairly well, but with a little bit of luck and some help (I have a fairly experienced delivery captain coming along with us) maybe it'll work. Luckily, this is not mission-critical.
