See the Potential ?

It can't be long before some smart anchor manufacturer recognizes the potential of this technology:

I'm a little loopier then normal also bleary eyed. I thought it was a lady's pump foot ware couldnt figure how putting diamonds on it made it more efficient. If it had been footware we could call it the the stump jump plough pump. I'm sending my conceptual design to Oscar de la jordache

An anchor that slides easily through the sea bed - what a great idea! Wonder why nobody thought of it sooner?

Re: See the Potential ?

One coated with roller bearings on the grabbing surface might be even better...almost frictionless. How about just going with a rodeless anchor: Throw it over and walk away.

Or an anchorless rode - "so smooth and easy, its like it isn't even there"

--thats what I was thinking. Fit it with a time released floatation device, and the sunset lake vagabonds would be gone in the morning.

Love this idea! I'm soooo tired of lifting that darned heavy thing.

Re: See the Potential ?

Why even anchor at all? I just wait until I run aground and call it good enough.

Re: See the Potential ?

Awww, you guys are no fun . . . you ruined the joke. Special credit to 44CC, though, for spotting the "small flaw" in having an anchor that easily slides into the seabed. Sorry, though . . . there is no prize. Just smug satisfaction for being first.

I'm surprised no one has yet proposed a water-soluble anchor. Made from sugar, perhaps. Again, no heavy lifting required.

Maybe it could be a keel design. That doubles as a rhodeless anchor and be women's foot wear.I think then it's a stump jump plough keel pump

Re: See the Potential ?

Thought it would be good for digging holes in coral reefs so a real anchor could find a sandy bottom..
