Odd deck hardware

Another item in spares. Google view not much help. Could be part of a genniker system.
Seems big just to swivel. Just under 6” long.

I think so also. But not a mark on it. No part no., no load rating, no vendor. I hesitate to put on my spin halyard; a fuse deployment would be exiting.
Maybe for the sheet? But then u have a hunk of metal flogging��

More often they would be used for the vang, so that they blow if someone leaves the vang on and eases the mainsheet.

never seen or heard of such a device ???

looks much like a fancy swivel to my tired 'ole eyes..

odd that is has different sized shackles on either end ??

7 minutes in, a similar fuse is demonstrated on a main sheet.
