In Mast Furling

Hello, Just purchased a 1983 Pearson 422 Hull #15. It has what I think is an original in mast furling system. I'm trying to identify what system it is, however any ID markings on the mast have long warn off and I can't see any nomenclature for the furler. I have no documentation that describes either the mast or the furling system. Only some reference to an available upgrade to a Hood in mast system in an old sales brochure I found in one of my doc's. I'm having trouble with the system and need to rebuild the bearings. Had a rigger look at the system, he thought it was a Hyde in mast system, others have said Hood Hideaway, Not sure. Any help would be great.

Re: In Mast Furling

Most likely Hood. Some of the Pearson kids still work for Hood in Newport.

Re: In Mast Furling

Doesn't look at all like my Hood furler which is of similar vintage.
