Famet furler repair or replacement

Hi all,

Our Watkins 36 CC has a Famet furler that needs a new drum. The company no longer exist and parts seem impossible to find.

Anyone have a source for a replacement drum for Famet?
If not a slightly used furler will be next.

That's got "Gorilla Tape" written all over it...

Try Don's marine salvage FL... You can definitely adapt your foils for a new used drum...

Planning on going to Don's Saturday, (I always get distracted there, so much...)
the yard also has an abandoned Islander with a furler that might work.
I hadn't thought about using another make drum, figured I'd have to replace the whole system.
How hard would be to use a different drum with current foils?

Luckily I'm stuck hundreds of miles away from any "Marine Utopia's" (it totally sucks)....

I don't think it would be too hard at all to adapt the right one... simply the correct machined collar, tube, etc... all depends on what ya got, and what ya find... Just saying... keep that thought on your mind should you not find the glass slipper...
