Clutch maintenance

I have Spinlock clutches (XTS, CAM 0814 for 5/16"-9/16") - see pic. The problem is most of these will no longer hold the line securely when I simply close it (I have not changed any lines). If I manually depress the internal lever-thing while closing the handle then it will work. I assume I can do some maintenance on these to restore proper function - what is the best practice? I'm thinking cleaning with hot water then spraying on some lubricant?

Re: Clutch maintenance

I have nine of the same clutches, parts are available.
I see no harm in a hot soapy water wash, but I wouldn’t spray lube on them. I believe they are easily disassembled, and I might would put some lube on parts that would pivot.
Did you try giving Spinloc a call?
