Raritan Head Problems and Questions

I have an older Raritan PH head. Talked to tech support at Raritan and have pretty much determined that I have a bad flapper. Is it worth replacing the whole pump at this time to the newer PHII pump? The discharge hose heads aft out of the toilet, does a tight 180 heading down and then goes forward. It looks like I can reverse the discharge elbow and make it go forward right off the head. I am thinking this would have to make the effluent flow better.

Thoughts?

TIA

Brad

Re: Raritan Head Problems and Questions

The answer to both your questions is YES! It's definitely worth it to replace a 30 yr old discontinued/obsolete toilet with a new one. Everything has a lifespan...the useful life of a PH is 20-25 years. You only need a pump assembly...keep it lubricated, replace the joker valve annually and rebuild it every 5-7 years and you'll get 25-30 out of this one.

And of course you'd want to eliminate a 180 turn in ANY hose!
